On Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, Italia in Piazza will be bringing their colourful Italian Food Market to the historic market town of Woodbridge.
The market sells a tempting range of Italian foods to set the taste buds tingling.
There will be a variety of cheeses, such as the famous Parmesan and Gorgonzola. Goat's, sheep and cow’s milk, alpine or mountain, fresh or mature cheeses are all on offer.
If you are not sure then ask to taste it!
Cured Meats range from the unmistakable Parma Ham, to the sublime Beef Bresaola Valtellina. If you fancy a change from your usual pasta, choose from Spiral Pasta, Extra long Black and Chilli Pepper Spaghetti, Tricolore Pasta and many more. In addition all kinds of traditional Italian Herbs will be on sale, such as Herbs for Bruschetta, Pesto and Chilli Herbs.
Italian olives are renowned for their quality and the market will include olives from Sicily, Liguria and Napoli such as the mix Antipasto of Olives & Cheese, Olives stuffed with Almonds, Garlic & Anchovies, Olive Ascolane, plus olive oils and balsamic vinegars.
For a sweeter taste, there will be a tempting range of Biscuits, cakes and pastries of the finest quality, including classic Dolci Pasticciera, chocolate drinks and cakes, plus Torrone. Best described as soft Nougat, Torrone comes in 33 flavours and is Gluten-Free.
Hot foods are available at the Italian Market including Sicilian Arancini (Rice balls with various fillings such as Spinach, Cheese and Ham). The market also boasts Pizzas imported from Italy and fresh Italian Sausages.
The Italia in Piazza market takes place on Monday 31 August in Budgen’s Car Park, Woodbridge. Delicious Italian food will be on sale from 9am until mid-afternoon.
