When Jennie Catling suggested a charity joint-venture to Rob Simpson, President of Woodbridge Rugby Club (WRUFC - home of the Woodbridge Warriors and Amazons) he was delighted to help. Jenny organised auction and raffle prizes and drummed up tables of supporters for the WRUFC Annual Ball.
As a consequence our picture shows Rob presenting Jennie with a cheque for £1,000 for the Beating Bowel Cancer Now Charity. Jennie has worked tirelessly to raise money for the charity since her Mother, Audrey Catling, passed away from the disease in July 2007.
Rob Simpson Woodbridge Rugby Club President says “Jennie inspired us to use our Annual Ball to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Former England international Matt Dawson is a Patron of the Charity and we’re happy to continue the rugby link“.
