The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight provided a nostalgic flypast over Sutton Hoo on Sunday. The three aircraft, Hawker Hurricane, Avro Lancaster, and Supermarine Spitfire, are reminders of the exploits of the Royal Air Force during World War II, and a memorial to the thousands who lost their lives in the conflict.

This photograph was taken by Andy Merrill and has been "tinkered with" by Linn Barringer to move the
fighters
closer to the bomber than they really were, so as to get the largest image into the available space.
