Deben Events, May 2009
The very first Woodbridge Vintage & Contemporary Market is taking place on the Suffolk town’s historic Market Hill and Shire Hall.
Saturday 13th June, from 9.30am to 4pm.
The unique interiors and home wares market has an eclectic mix of stall holders selling hard-to-find modern and retro items that are a world away from mass-produced chain store pieces.
Richard Ginger of Deben Events, organisers of the market, says, “The Fair on the Square will be a shopping experience with a real difference. Woodbridge is a fantastic place to visit for shopping and this market will bring a taste of Portobello Road to the town’s traditional marketplace.”

Stall holders lined up for the event include those selling everything from iconic twentieth century designer furniture, retro and designer clothes and jewellery, to 70s beach wear, stylish antiques and collectable vinyl. “It will be a great place to pick up pieces for the home and find inspiration on how to mix vintage style with cutting-edge cool.”
There will also be the chance for one lucky visitor to win a particularly cool 1960s chrome American Atomic lamp and shade worth £200 in a raffle competition. The lamp has been donated by lighting shop, Brighten Up, in Woodbridge and money from the raffle will go to a local charity.
There is no entry fee. For the latest news, see the market's blog: www.wvcm.blogspot.com
