On Tuesday 17th March 2009, Woodbridge Town Council presented another member of the public with their Honorary Freeman Award in the Shire Hall, Market Hill Woodbridge following the Town Council meeting.
The award was introduced in 2001 and given to a maximum of 12 people who have made an outstanding contribution to the life or name of Woodbridge.
Nominations had been sought, following to the death of Mr Frank Knights, who had received his award in 2005.
This year the award was presented to Mr Peter Conway for his long term involvement in the Woodbridge Gateway Club for the mentally handicapped.
The photograph (right) shows Mr Conway on the left, being presented with this Certificate and Medallion by the Mayor of Woodbridge, Councillor Les Binns.
