Woodbridge Christmas Shop Window Winner

Tell a friend

Glamorama, the ladies' fashion accessories shop at 21a Thoroughfare, won the award for best Christmas window display in Woodbridge.

Mayor Jim Bidwell chose it for what he described as "a display full of taste and with an almost Edwardian flavour". He presented proprietor Julie Sphule with the Chamber of Commerce Shield engraved by P&R Locksmiths. He also presented her with a case of wine donated by Scott Matheson-Barr of estate agency Gobbitt and Kirby.

The Mayor said "I am very impressed by the number of shops participating in the competition and by the wide range of interpretations of the Christmas theme." He admired the display by Robert Douglas Hair Workshop, 86 Thoroughfare , which came second, for its exquisite lighting, and praised third prize winner Frames by Robert, 14 New Street, for its "Salvdor Dali-like creativity".
