Councillors from Woodbridge Town Council have voted to award the Potter Community Cup (and cheque for £50) for the period 2005/2006, to the Rochford Trust for the good work they do with young people in Woodbridge and the surrounding area, from their base at Rochford House in New Street, Woodbridge.
The cup is awarded each year to an individual or organisation who has made an outstanding contribution to the life or name of the town in the preceding twelve months and nominations are sought each year from members of the public.
Previous winners of the cup are:-
The 5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts, Mr Daniel McLeavey, Mr Jonathan Rattle and Mr Lennie Pack (joint winners), The Company of Four, Miss Carley Brennan, Mr David Horne, The Woodbridge Roteract Club, Mr Don Tucker, Mr Alistair Howard and The Woodbridge Community Council.
The cup and cheque will be presented by the Town Mayor at the AGM of the Rochford Trust on 29th March 2006.
