Woodbridge Town Council, in partnership with Woodbridge in Bloom, recently presented prizes to the winners of the Children’s Design a Flower Bed Competition. The task was to design a colour scheme for the bedding to be planted in a circular flowerbed in Elmhurst Park.
Entries were submitted by New Street County Primary School, Kyson School and the Abbey School and the winners were, 6 year old Bethany Hunt from Kyson School for the Summer bedding (to be planted in late spring 2006) with her kite design and
8-year-old Ed Robson from the Abbey School for the Winter/Spring Bedding (to be planted autumn 2006) with his geometric design.
The judges were most impressed with 5-year-old Mathilda Barnard’s butterfly design and awarded her a runner-up prize.
Sue Allen, Chairman of Woodbridge in Bloom and Chris Walker, Town Clerk presented the children with their prizes at the Shire Hall.
