Potter Community Cup awarded to Mr Brian Andrews

Councillors from Woodbridge Town Council have voted to award the Potter Cup (and cheque for £50 for the period 2009/2010), to Mr Brian Andrews, the Pedestrian Road Sweeper for Woodbridge for raising the profile and vitality of the Town.

Potter Cup winner Brian Andrews with Mayor Les BinnsThe cup and cheque were presented by the Town Mayor, Councillor Les Binns before the meeting of the Town Council at the Shire Hall, Woodbridge on Tuesday 12th January 2010.

The Potter Community Cup is awarded each year to an individual or organisation who has made an outstanding contribution to the life or name of the town in the preceding twelve months and nominations are sought each year from members of the public.

Previous winners of the cup are:
The 5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts, Mr Daniel McLeavey, Mr Jonathan Rattle and Mr Lennie Pack (joint winners), The Company of Four, Miss Carley Brennan, Mr David Horne, The Woodbridge Rotaract Club, Mr Don Tucker, Mr Alistair Howard, The Woodbridge Community Council, The Rochford Trust, Woodbridge Town Youths Football Club, Mrs Valerie Constable and Peter & Georgie Bacon.
